Battery and charging
In Performance Mode, the holder gives up to 3 uses in a row (2 if you use Pause Mode during one of them). Eco Mode gives one use per holder charge, and IQOS says it can extend the holder battery’s life by up to a year. The pocket charger refills the holder and gives up to 20 uses on a full charge, which takes about 135 minutes.
How to use ILUMA i Standard
- Charge the pocket charger fully before the first use; a full charge takes about 135 minutes. A new holder can need up to 10 minutes to charge the first time, or after a long period unused.
- Take the holder out of the charger and insert a TEREA stick. Autostart begins heating straight away.
- Wait for the vibration, which tells you it is ready.
- Each stick lasts up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, and FlexPuff may add up to 4 extra puffs depending on how you puff. Need a break? Pause Mode holds the session for up to 8 minutes.
- Remove the stick and throw it away. There is no blade, so there is nothing to clean.
Which sticks it uses
ILUMA i Standard works only with TEREA sticks, which carry the SMARTCORE heating element inside. HEETS and other sticks made for blade devices will not work in it. Browse TEREA by origin: Japan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Swiss and UAE, or see all TEREA sticks.
Which TEREA to start with
If you are new to TEREA, start with a taste you already know. For menthol, try TEREA Menthol from Japan or TEREA Turquoise Menthol UAE. For plain tobacco, try TEREA Regular or TEREA Amber UAE. For fruit, TEREA Purple Menthol adds blueberry, and capsule sticks such as TEREA Oasis Pearl let you add the flavour with a click. Japanese cartons are AED 200, Swiss AED 160, and the Indonesian and Kazakh ranges start from AED 120.
